We are actively seeking an occupational therapist who is dynamic, innovative, and devoted to making a difference in the lives of students.

In this rewarding role, your expertise and enthusiasm will play a vital part in supporting students' educational journeys. As an integral member of the school team, you will provide targeted occupational therapy to promote academic achievement. Through collaboration with educators and other professionals you will develop and implement strategies to nurture students' growth and success. Your direct interventions and consultative approach will equip students with the skills necessary to excel in school and beyond. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator that demonstrates creativity and flexibility.

Occupational Therapists in the school setting will:

  • Implement effective therapeutic intervention to facilitate student progress.
  • Develop student treatment plans and educationally-relevant goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services on an individual and/or small-group basis.
  • Collaborate with and train educational professionals on strategies to facilitate student progress.
  • Work in general and special education classrooms to improve students' ability to participate in educational activities.
  • Maintain documentation for students under their care.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding progress reports.
  • Attend IEP meetings to update student progress, treatment plans and goals with the education team.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be willing to provide in-person services
  • Possess and maintain a Florida OT License

DETAILS ABOUT THE POSITION:

  • Caseloads include children with a variety of needs impacting their ability to fully access and/or participate in their educational environment, such as developmental delays, motor skill deficits, sensory processing issues, and other challenges that affect their functional performance.
  • FULL TIME Schedule: Monday-Friday; 25- 37.5 hours/week.
  • Independent Contractor (1099) position
  • Summer/Holidays off as per the school calendar.
