The Senior Business Analyst works across the company internally on projects and tasks in a team environment, consulting departments and managers on how our people can work smarter by bringing intelligent, user-friendly and more efficient solutions to meet business needs. 

Project Management and Operational Support

  • Responsible for the project timeline, milestones, execution, coordination, and weekly status updates; successfully sees projects through as needed to reach goals and key success factors 

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives 

  • Provides background information, technical information, options, and recommendations for project decisions; clearly documents and effectively communicates changes, new processes, or updates in all appropriate places 

  • Works with technical teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet business needs, including software applications, systems integrations, and facility management tools 

  • Identifies potential risks associated with various projects and develops mitigation strategies to minimize impact 

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate the seamless integration of business processes and systems following a recent acquisition, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and minimizing disruption to operations 

  • Evaluates existing processes and workflows, recommending enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery 

  • Leverages project planning and tracking tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, OneNote) to keep all stakeholders informed, aware of key milestones and progress toward desired results; helps visualize technical information in a way that is meaningful to business decision makers 

  • Serves as a bridge between users and technical teams, understanding both (IT) system requirements and business user needs and provides analysis and advice to improve systems 
     

Change Management

  • Consistently follows change management best practices and sets an example for others within the organization 

  • Demonstrates the ability to apply change management principles to projects and in all interactions with internal clients; this includes fostering an interdisciplinary approach and engaging other departments to achieve outcomes 

  • Identifies the impact of change on stakeholders and makes recommendations on how to successfully execute a change management strategy  

  • Develops training materials and conducts training sessions for end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in business process baselining, process improvement, or related field 

  • 5+ years of Project Management Experience 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. 

  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and facilities management processes 

  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) 

  • Experience with designing, developing, testing and delivery of business solutions 

  • Experience translating technical and functional user requirements into business solutions 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Smartsheet 
     

Preferred

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Information Systems or related field 

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred. 

  • ITIL: CSI Certified 

  • ITIL: Foundation Certified 

  • Functional Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 

  • Functional Knowledge of Microsoft Visio 

  • Insurance agency industry experience is desired
