Job Skills/Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, previous experience in a shipping and receiving role required.
  • The ability to communicate with co-workers with various devices including but not limited to phone, email, text, fax, etc...
  • An outgoing personality to handle a rapid pace, quick turnaround ordering process.
  • Ability to work individually and with a team.
  • Previous experience working with Business Works, Google Docs, Master PDF, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule of Monday Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm - with some flexibility necessary to adjust around shipment schedules.

Description of Duties:

  • Shipping and Receiving orders for both international and domestic customers that have been filled by the Inventory team.
  • Communicating with the Sales Support team to ensure that orders are sent out in a timely manner.
  • Receive packages and coordinate with the Inventory team to ensure all items are received accurately and entered into Inventory by recording data manually or using a computer.
  • Safely work in a material handling role with use of power equipment, including but not limited to fork lifts, etc.
  • Complete all other paperwork as necessary, including but not limited to: shipping labels, pick ticket tracking, personal time sheets, invoice matching, collecting and distributing all incoming and outgoing shipments, etc...
  • Other tasks as assigned and necessary to support the company and procurement team

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to utilize computer is required - experience with MRP is preferred;
  • Ability to read and understand electronic and paper shipping documents;
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and to work safely in a warehouse environment;
  • Ability & willingness to follow policies & procedures;
  • Overtime may be required occasionally, and on rare occasions, all associates may be required to work on Saturday or Sunday to meet customer requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Ability to regularly walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials. Ability to work for 8 hours or longer on hard surface concrete floors, and to wear all required PPE including safety footwear at all times.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of three years of material handling experience
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience required
  • Clean MVR and valid drivers license
  • Domestic and International shipping experience required

Travel Requirements: Local +/-10%
