DirectPath is working with a dynamic construction company to identify a Sr. Electrical Estimator.  The primary responsibility is managing the estimation process for electrical construction projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, adherence to safety policies, and alignment with company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, customers).
  • Leading project assessment, cost estimation, and bid preparation processes.
  • Performing value engineering, risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Communicating with vendors for accurate pricing and cost optimization.
  • Participating in key project meetings and handing off projects to field operations effectively.
  • Utilizing estimation software and internal systems for documentation and project management.
  • Walking project sites regularly and adjusting estimates when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED (Construction degree preferred but not required).
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years in electrical estimating.
    • Proven ability to estimate projects up to $5 million.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam).
    • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and market trends.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical materials and industry standards.
  • Commitment to safety and servant leadership principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
