Baer is looking for SAP Finance (FI) Architect for a 12-month Federal Project located in Washington, DC/Mechanicsburg, PA.

Title: SAP Finance (FI) Architect
Location: Remote and Washington, DC/Mechanicsburg, PA
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:
  • Review the existing ECC solution to uncover how the system is used and identify areas of under or misutilization.
  • Conduct a related review of business processes that drive the use and data in the system.
  • Develop recommendations for business process changes that align more closely with the S/4HANA standard solution.
  • Possess deep process knowledge in Financials (FIN), ideally with implementation and process knowledge related to ECC and S/4HANA in the Aerospace and Defense (A+D) sector.
  • Analyze and understand current business processes and workflows to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Provide true customer-facing consultative experience above the configuration level.
  • Build client consensus on revised business process approaches to set the stage for an optimized migration to S/4HANA.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and buy-in for proposed changes.
  • Develop detailed recommendations and solutions for optimizing business processes and system usage.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement recommended changes and ensure successful adoption.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as an SAP FI Architect with a strong background in Financials (FIN).
  • Proven experience with ECC and S/4HANA implementations and processes, ideally in the Aerospace and Defense (A+D) sector.
  • Deep understanding of business processes and workflows related to Financials.
  • Strong consultative experience with the ability to engage with clients above the configuration level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build client consensus and drive business process changes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: SAP certification in Financials (FIN) or related modules, Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects and Knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
