We are seeking an Office Clerk for a local Parks and Recreation Department. An employee working in this position is responsible for coordination and support of administrative and clerical services. Administrative services include the routing of paperwork for division approval, answering phones, making copies, filing, inventory of supplies and equipment, sending email communication when applicable.

General job description:

The position entails clerical duties which include:

  • Use Microsoft Word to prepare memos, correspondences, etc.
  • Supports, coordinates, and maintains administrative and clerical duties in the Recreation Services Division.
  • Reviews email, prints and routes paperwork through the approval process to obtain the required signatures for processing.
  • Answers the phone and takes messages as applicable.
  • Maintains a variety of office files and records, emails information as needed.
  • Maintains a variety of office equipment makes copies, organizes office supplies and other equipment.
  • Reads and routes incoming mail and assembles files
Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) years of experience in clerical/customer service.
Pay Rate:
  • $12.50/hour
Schedule:
  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
