A 409 bed hospital located in Birmingham, Alabama. Our faith based ministry allows you to provide holistic care for your patients.

Department: Nursing Administration

Shift Timings: Night shift 18:45 - 07:15 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
The RN positions within our organization are 4 12 hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required. Holiday rotation will be required . Eight bed CV Stepdown 1:3/4 nurse patient ratio with Patient Care Tech assistance Bedside monitors on unit with Central Monitoring also monitoring Every other weekend required Minimum of 1 Summer Holiday required ACLS/BCL required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of RN Cardiovascular Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Alabama state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
