SEH Global Systems Specialist Requisition ID: 38195 Job Location(s): Ames, IA, USDalian, CN Job Description As our Segment SEH Systems Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting SEH initiative/program launches, implementation tracking, and reporting. You will support the Danfoss Power Solutions Global SEH Team, SEHQ MS Board, Division SEHQ Leadership Team, BU and Site Organizations and SEH Leaders with the integration of various SEH practices that contribute to the organizations overall objective to achieve SEH Excellence. The SEH Systems Specialist will report to the Global Director of Business Processes and Systems. Success criteria include satisfying the job responsibilities and development objectives. Job Responsibilities Act as a DPS Global Incident Management System (GIMS) super user and manage GIMS to include: Train SEH location leaders on use of the system; Create and distribute defined status reports for DPS, divisions, and sites; Analyze data to define risk exposure and incident trends. Lead the DPSincident reporting process and reporting including the review, update, and distribution of Incident Lessons Learned. Utilize the Environmental Health and Safety (ENHESA) Regulatory Compliance System to monitor changes to existing and/or emerging SEH regulatory requirements Provide regular communications to the organization and employees on various SEH subjects by way of: Creating, posting, and maintaining information on DPS Global SEH Teams sites; Maintaining the DPS SEH intranet website. Be a subject matter expert, and provide training to SEH Leaders, Operations, and Functions (as applicable) for: GIMS (Synergi Life) data collection and reporting base; Chemical Management system; Enhesa Regulatory management system; VelocityEHS – Humantech; Additional SEH activities including: Support the development and maintenance of a digital SEH toolbox that includes: standards, procedures, methods, lessons learned, training materials, and other support tools and information. Prepare various SEH reports: Weekly incident flash reports, Monthly DPS Safety Report and SEHQ, KPI reports, Incident Tracker, etc. Perform and support EHS-related audits; Represent DPS, as assigned, on Danfoss company and DPS SEH teams. Background & Skills Persons with experience working for large global companies are potential ideal candidates for this role; Experience working in and supporting multiple operations, divisions, or global functions; Bachelor’s degree required – Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering preferred, or similar. Training in SEH legal and statutory requirements Existing familiarity and strong interest in learning all of the software systems listed above along with the Microsoft suite of tools for creating reports and maintaining intranet / SharePoint sites. Preferred Qualifications: NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) Job Criteria: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Self-motivated – does not require constant follow-up; Ability to influence others; Self-starter and work with minimal supervision; Strong, effective organizational skills, great sense for detail; Networking with the DPS SEH community and other functions.
