Developmental Disabilities Resource Center: Our Story

Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC), is a 501(c)3 Colorado nonprofit organization, and is the designated Community Centered Board for Jefferson, Gilpin, Clear Creek and Summit Counties serving people with developmental disabilities and providing support to their families. Types of services available through various types of funding include early intervention services, service coordination, respite, personal care, homemaker services, mentoring, vocational, residential, behavioral intervention, transportation, community connections, supported living and therapeutic recreation.

Make a difference as a TEMPORARY Speech Language Pathologist - Early Intervention

Join our team as a Temporary Speech Language Pathologist in the Early Intervention Department at DDRC You will have the exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality therapy services to children aged 0-3, using evidence-based trans-disciplinary and adult coaching approaches.

Collaborating with a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Developmental Interventionists, Speech Language Pathologists, and more, you will engage in regular discussions to ensure the most effective strategies are employed for each child and their family. Does this sound like you?

To excel as a Speech Language Pathologist in our Early Intervention team, you'll need to bring a unique set of skills and qualifications to the table. We are looking for individuals with the following:

  • Masters in Speech Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Part C Early Intervention experience required.
  • Additional EI Evaluation experience ideal.
  • Bilingual/Multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Recognition of importance of and respect for confidentiality.
  • Interest in providing both in-person and virtual services to support to families.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with ability to drive to various locations in varying weather.
  • Ability to sit on the floor in various residences with the children and their families.
  • Flexibility to complete work in various settings within the surrounding area.

  • Experience to Support All of the Following:
    • Autistic children/children suspected to be on the autism spectrum
    • Oral-motor feeding needs
    • Motor speech disorders
    • Understanding how sensory issues impact speech
    • Interest in supporting Assistive Technology needs for families
    • General infant & toddler development
