Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interprets delivery note and related pick list documentation to identify materials to be picked for shipment.
- Employs strict attention to detail while picking materials to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Selects and prepares packaging to accommodate each order with minimal waste while ensuring the preservation of contents during shipment.
- Operates the tools and equipment common to a warehousing/fulfillment center including, pallet jacks, floats/hand trucks, strapping/banding tensioners, box cutters, etc.
- Employs SAP to scan, pack and ship orders with an awareness to time sensitive delivery requirements.
- Receives instruction on the proper identification, packaging and labelling of dangerous goods in accordance with IATA regulations.
- Assists in the performance of physical inventory, cycle counts and receiving inspections as directed.
- Performs material receipt and stocking of newly received materials as directed.
- Minimum of one year of warehouse/order fulfillment center experience is preferred.
- Familiarity in the basic operation of a computer is required to complete work assignments.
- Experience in the use of SAP warehouse management module or similar enterprise resource planning system is a plus.
- Must be able to work from a standing position for up to eight hours per day.
- Position requires the ability to lift objects of up to 40 lbs in weight independently.
- The qualified candidate will be punctual, reliable, and eager to learn new skills.
- Lithium Battery shipping experience
