Entrepreneurship & Economic Opportunity Program Coordinator (EEOPC) (40 hours a week, Full-time) Non-Exempt

The Entrepreneurship & Economic Opportunity Program Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to enhance youth and community resident participation, build partnerships, and facilitate entrepreneurship and business development, as well as financial literacy training programs for youth and adults. The ideal candidate has a fundamental understanding of financial literacy, business and entrepreneurial principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. The EEOPC should be able to identify the target audience's needs, formulate strategic plans, build effective relationships with youth, community members, coworkers, and partners, and implement initiatives. The EEOPC reports directly to the Chief Community Officer, Bradly Johnson.
Requirements
- Develop and implement financial literacy, entrepreneurship, business development training, and other initiatives
- Partner with and support BUILD's youth workforce participants (interns, apprentices, and cohort programs) to provide financial literacy, entrepreneurship, business development training, and other initiatives
- Partner with Sunshine Enterprises to launch the Community Business Academy and financial institutional partners for financial literacy education programs and workshops
- Engage with BUILD programs, community residents, partners, and stakeholders to identify their needs and develop goals
- Facilitate and support recruitment for community-based and internal projects
- Establish relationships with BUILD department leaders
- Coordinate entrepreneurship-related events and activities
- Monitor and report on program activities and progress
- Develop and implement strategies to increase youth and community participation
- Prepare and manage budgets for all related projects
- Provide training and support to community members and volunteers
- A bachelor's degree and at least three years of professional experience in program coordination and development, financial literacy, business, entrepreneurship, or developing social enterprises are required.
- At least three years of experience working with youth in urban neighborhoods impacted by trauma.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple partners, including businesses, colleges, government entities, decision-makers, community-based NPOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and client database systems.
- Knowledge of data collection and program evaluation.
- Must maintain respectful and appropriate relationships with program participants and staff.
- Access to reliable transportation to fulfill all work expectations.
- Experience in program and event coordination.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to accomplish program objectives by organizing and monitoring work processes.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through
