Position Overview: Participates as a team member within the Assembly Operations Department. This temp associate works closely to ensure that all Assembly process tasks are completed within prescribed timeline and meet ALL quality specification requirements; and working along with NAR associates and business partner South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department (SCVRD) associates to achieve tasks requirements. Primary purpose is to adhere to all prescribed processes/procedures, involving all activities that relate to assembling components and products into "finished goods" that meet/exceed established quality guidelines and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed.

  • Know/understand NAR Products, as directed; their quality requirements (specifications/tolerances/lot control, etc.)
  • Know/understand NAR Product "direct packaging" requirements, such as those that must be vacuum packed, and non-vacuum packed
  • Know/understand the related/necessary assembly processing requirements that NAR Products must undergo, same with vacuum packaging processing
  • Understand all training instructions/procedures to undertake NAR Product assembly tasks
  • Adhere to personnel related work schedule requirements
  • Understand and adhere to personnel related process training requirements
  • Meet product assembly requirements
  • Cooperate with fellow Operations Department Team Members, and all other NAR Associates to provide "Internal Customer" support, as required
  • Cooperate/take direction/support Supervisor, Operations; and all other executive management personnel, to support internal/external "Stockholders"
  • Complete any tasks and/or projects assigned by supervisor
Accountability:
  • Ensure that all NAR products are assembled according to prescribed specification and meet all of NAR requirements and guidelines
  • Ensure that all necessary materials are appropriately accounted for
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
Skills and Competencies:
  • Consistently applies basic communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to respond courteously to all Internal Customers, Stockholders, External Customers (should they be contacted), business partner(s) (SCVRD), suppliers.
  • Strong quality orientation, attention to detail, personal desire to meet/exceed requirements
  • Ability to work with limited direction and supervision
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships
  • Ability to change direction and focus
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Personal tasks are completed in operational environments
  • Ability to perform tasks with good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to perform standard body movements:
    • Frequent standing at workstations on the assembly room floor
    • Occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching
  • Ability to tolerate moderate office noise levels
  • Ability to tolerate moderate operational /warehouse floor noise levels
  • Ability to lift to 50+ pounds on an occasional basis
Time and Availability
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours each week from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or some variation thereof
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

  • Little to no travel
