We currently have the following opportunity available in Sudbury:
Electrical/Controls Design Engineer (Temporary Assignment of 6 months)
The temporary Electrical/Controls Design Engineer will be instrumental in creating electrical systems and controls for Machine Tools offered by Methods Machine Tools. The role will encompass designing, documenting, and supporting electrical solutions to ensure project success within specified timeframes.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design electrical systems, fixtures, tooling, and robotic systems using Solidworks Electrical.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, build documentation, and manuals for components and systems.
• Integrate Engineering Services, focusing on machine tool automation projects and controls.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers via digital channels.
• Maintain accurate project records and communicate status updates to management.
Pre-requisite Skill Sets:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical/controls design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical or similar electrical CAD software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with automation products and principles.
• Experience in project management and leadership roles is a plus.
