Inventory Control Clerk

Under general supervision and following established guidelines, perform a variety of tasks at the manufacturing facility related to materials receiving, inventory control, stocking, and/or billing.
Receive, count and inspect shipments received from outside vendors; sort, label and stock incoming products and supplies and document in appropriate database
Contingent on the Line of Business, pull products (including, but not limited to available frames or lenses), match to appropriate job and store in assigned location, sort and distribute trays as required
Contingent on the Line of Business, pull products (including, but not limited to semi-finished or finished lenses), scan and verify; perform cosmetic inspection and restock as needed
Prepare and process materials for return to manufacturer for credit
Identify backorders and take appropriate action
Perform cycle counts and physical inventory
Monitor inventory by partnering with the appropriate parties
Contingent on the Line of Business, may be responsible for timely processing of receiving documentation (goods and services) in the applicable Purchase Order and Accounting systems
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
One to two years of experience in inventory and/or receiving
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Good near vision and attention to detail
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, and pulling/pushing
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here.
Salary Ranges: $15.00 - $21.50
