Inova Health Tower OR Unit is seeking a Surgical Technologist Lead to join it's high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room team The person in this role will cover the following service lines: plastics/general surgery. Job Responsibilities:
- The Surgical Technologist Lead acts as a clinical leader and resource in an Inova Operating Room (OR).
- Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.
- Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.
- Provides mentoring to the OR team.
- Works collaboratively and has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines.
- Uses and demonstrates clinical expertise in the assessment of staff learning needs, capabilities, and readiness.
- Demonstrates superior knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques in the role of surgical technologist.
- Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.

Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT
- BLS via AHA required
- Surgical Technologist registration required
- Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire; Registration must be completed within 6 months of hire.
