Position: Family Consultant / Case Manager - Foster Care & Adoption

A Day in the Life:

You will be responsible for assessing the individualized needs of any child placed in our care and their families by making regular contact, arranging for the provision of services, and maintaining documentation of actions and outcomes. You will focus the efforts of all team members, composed of the client in care, the birth family, the therapeutic foster parents, the custodial agency case worker, etc., on common goals and strategies to assure continuity of care across key persons and settings impacting the client's development.

Family Consultant / Case Manager Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or related human service field
  • Valid driver's license, insurable driving record and reliable transportation required
  • Direct experience working with youth who experience emotional and/or behavioral disturbances in a treatment or education setting is highly preferred
  • Experience working with learning-based treatment plans or behaviorally oriented programs is highly preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed within the community, foster homes, and other places related to on-call, recruitment, and home certification across both program regions
