Description

The Technologist, under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation via radiopharmaceuticals for radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within Nuclear Medicine and PET.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree: Nuclear Medicine.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with established procedures and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Specific to the handling of FDG and operation of PET scanner.
