Overview

Under the direction of the HR leader, provides project management, administrative and clerical support.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates various human resources projects.
  • Plans, designs, and delivers a variety of written materials (presentations/reports/written correspondence) for the department, and maximizes knowledge of software programs necessary to produce high quality reports, correspondence, and presentation materials.
  • Provides general administrative and clerical support to the vice president of human resources and the benefits and compensation specialist.
  • Follows all organization and department policies and procedures in the performance of all job duties to assure a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Advises employees and managers on proper human resource policies and procedures. Assists the vice president of human resources in revising human resource policies and procedures to reflect current legislation, practice, etc., and creating new policies where appropriate.
Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

  • Four to six years experience in an HR department or equivalent preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Word processing skills required; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Computer literacy and adaptability required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and judgment skills a must.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with various levels of hospital staff.
