Position Overview:
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Critical Care Services, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care by acting as a key resource for staff, patients, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care across various departments.
- Assess the effectiveness of staff and unit performance.
- Review and analyze clinical data, while gathering additional information as needed.
- Select, assemble, and verify all equipment utilized in respiratory care.
- Initiate, perform, and adjust prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive patient records and relay pertinent information to the healthcare team.
- Serve as the 'team leader' during assigned shifts to guarantee high-quality care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
- Foster a positive image of the department and oneself.
- Provide age-appropriate care to all patients.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Director.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Essential Skills:
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment capabilities, with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to function effectively in a high-pressure environment and take appropriate actions.
- Competency in Moderate Sedation.
- Proven leadership, management, and problem-solving skills; effective teaching and communication abilities; capacity for objectivity, tolerance, and understanding; and the ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with all healthcare team members.
Licensure Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months.
- Licensure by the West Virginia State Board of Nursing.
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in a nursing management role.
