The company is currently in the process of integrating five separate legacy ERP systems into a single ERP platform, Microsoft Dynamics D365. As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst specializing in accounting operations and proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365, this position will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance workstream to optimize financial processes, streamline workflows, and ensure accurate reporting within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Condcut thorough analysis of existing accounting workflows and collaborate with stakeholders to understand their process and requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Using prior expertise in D365, configure and customize the system to meet accounting requirements; implement changes to workflows, reports, and dashboards; and implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Create and document detailed business requirements from accounting stakeholders, translate into functional specifications for system configuration and development, and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configuration, customization, and integrations.
  • Create and deliver training materials and sessions to educate accounting staff on system functionality and best practices and provide ongoing support to users by troubleshooting issues and acting as a liaison for issue resolution and system enhancements.
  • Pull and analyze accounting data from D365 to support financial reporting and decision-making, develop and maintain standard reports and dashboards for accounting stakeholders, and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement by analyzing data.
  • Adherence to internal controls within accounting processes implemented in D365, identify and mitigate risks, and support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations of system configuration and process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a business systems analyst or similar role, with a focus on accounting operations, preferably with a process manufacturer, specifically in Microsoft D365 surrounding the following core business processes:
    • Recording to Reporting
    • Acquire to Dispose / Capital project accounting
    • Invoice to Cash
    • Invoice to Payment
    • Tax
    • Consolidation and Eliminations
    • Foreign Currency Management
    • Hire to Retire
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting techniques with deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in a multinational or multi-entity accounting environment.
  • Experience with other Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Azure services.
  • Project management experience or BONUS- certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Ability to adapt and change in a fast-paced, growing environment; dealing with ambiguity
  • Team player mindset - willing to pitch-in to assist in areas outside of individuals defined responsibilities
  • Strong math and analytical skills
