School Behavior Specialist

What to expect.
You will assess, develop, and implement behavior support plans for students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
- Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
- Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

- Master’s degree in a related field of study.
- Two years of behavior assessment and management experience.
- For internal candidates: a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience (2 of which must be within SPHS) would be considered a substitute for a master’s degree.
