Objective:
  • The Behavioral Health Tech is part of the WC-Health transitional housing program which provides residential support for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Essential Functions:
  • Monitor program members and provide daily shift reports.
  • Daily reminders regarding medications and appointments.
  • Checking residents in/out of the property.
  • Conduct urinalysis and breathalyze program members.
  • Observe and submit incident reports as necessary.
  • Assist program members with meal preparation.
  • Create a daily cleaning schedule for program members.
  • Conduct property and room checks.
  • Communicate with the case management and treatment team regarding updates and changes of behavior.
  • Attends and participates in weekly meetings regarding quality improvement.

Position Type: Full-time

Work Environment:
  • This position works in an outpatient mental care facility.
  • There will be frequent interaction with persons who are mentally ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset.
Physical Demands:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
  • The employee's vision must be adequate to read correspondence, computer screens, forms, etc.
  • The position requires good manual dexterity.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
