Job Overview: We are seeking mid-level frontend software engineers for our client to join their dynamic video platform team, which works on various platforms including Web, Samsung, Xbox, and Chromecast. The ideal candidate will have strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, with a preference for React experience. This role requires a collaborative team player with experience working in large codebases and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain video streaming applications for platforms such as Spectrum TV, Xbox, Web, and Chromecast.
  • Utilize JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue (React preferred).
  • Work with tools such as Git, Jira, Zeplin, and Kibana.
  • Implement Redux/Redux Saga for state management and Sass/CSS for styling.
  • Handle RESTful APIs and JSON data.
  • Collaborate with a team of 20-23 engineers, reviewing code and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Contribute to tooling for data visualization using OpenSearch and Athena (preferred).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Familiarity with Redux/Redux Saga, Sass/CSS, Git/GitLab, HTML, and JSON.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Experience with web-based players such as Shotgun or Amp is a plus.
  • Knowledge of video streaming concepts and CI/CD practices.

Environment:

  • Working with technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Redux Saga, CSS, and JSON.
  • Using tools such as Git, Jira, Zeplin, and Kibana.
  • Involved in video streaming and CI/CD concepts.

Additional Information:

  • The role is flexible regarding the years of experience as long as the candidate has worked with software engineering teams and on relevant projects.
