Your Role:We are seeking a Senior Flutter Developer (Contract) who possesses a natural talent for solving complex challenges. As a key member of the Invest team, you will enhance our brokerage experience and assist members in managing their finances effectively. This role offers the opportunity to tackle intricate and engaging problems within a highly collaborative environment. You will regularly collaborate with Design and Product leadership to formulate engineering strategies and have direct access to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a mentor and a team player, hands-on, and comfortable driving solutions from initial design to final execution, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivery.

At SoFi, we value the synergy between Product, Design, and Engineering, and you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from concept through development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mobile development initiatives for the Invest group at SoFi
  • Enhance quality in mobile development processes
  • Promote improved mobile monitoring, logging, and diagnostics
  • Develop and implement API strategies for effective frontend/backend communication
  • Design flexible, high-performance, and reusable UI components that meet the needs of various teams
  • Collaborate with UX designers to create exceptional user experiences
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and objectives
  • Independently address ambiguous challenges to deliver timely solutions
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and business leaders
  • Establish best practices and maintain high coding standards
  • Exhibit and uphold deep technical expertise in Flutter and mobile development, along with a broad understanding of infrastructure and API design
  • Mentor fellow engineers, contribute to SoFi's technical culture, and support team growth

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 6+ years of experience in mobile programming, particularly with Flutter
  • Proficiency in Git-based distributed version control systems
  • Experience with Agile project development in a microservices architecture
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work well with others
  • A passion for tackling complex problems
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is outlined below. The final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as experience, skills, and location.
