POSITION SUMMARY:
Hawaii Behavioral Health is seeking a Mental Health Professional ("MHP") to provide behavioral support services to families and children with severe emotional disturbances by engaging the child and family in therapeutic services as well as case management when appropriate. MHP will follow a evidence-based model that will help develop and build skills to help the child and family function autonomously and successfully. MHPs serve youth in the home and community settings.
Job Type: Part-time
Location: All Islands (Statewide)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize person-centered approach to create and implement youth's therapeutic treatment plan
- Work with families and youth regarding issues that impact psychological or emotional problems such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family situations or any other mental health issues that might be affecting the child's ability to function successfully in home, education, and community settings
- Document therapeutic services provided to youth and family in a timely manner utilizing an electronic health record system.
- Utilize online programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Teams for daily communications.
- Manage your own caseload size and services needed for each youth.
- Collaborate with a treatment team to ensure best practice and continuity of care.
- Master's degree in social work, psychology or other related discipline
- At least two years prior experience working in the behavioral health field
