Project Manager for Workday Implementation (Remote)
Join a leading provider in senior care as a Project Manager specializing in Workday solutions. We are currently seeking a contract to hire Project Manager to oversee and manage significant, cross-functional programs and multiple projects from initiation to successful completion. This position operates under the guidance of IT management and the Senior Executive Team.
Location: Torrance, CA. Remote work available, but must operate during Pacific Time Zone hours.
Compensation: $50-70 per hour, plus benefits.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closing of large-scale and complex projects, potentially managing several unrelated projects simultaneously.
- Apply standard PMI processes in various project phases including initiation, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing.
- Utilize PMO methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and excellence across all projects.
- Collaborate with sponsors to clearly define project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables.
- Gather business requirements and perform current state assessments to create preliminary project documentation in coordination with project sponsors and functional managers.
- Oversee activities within PMBOK knowledge areas such as integration, scope management, schedule development, cost and quality planning, project communication, risk management, and procurement.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where additional resources are needed for project success.
Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree, and certifications such as PMP or CSM.
- 6-8 years of extensive project management experience required.
- Prior experience supporting Workday projects is essential.
- Proven background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integration projects.
- Healthcare industry experience is advantageous, along with familiarity with related systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, managing teams of 1-20 members in a matrixed environment.
- Expertise in overseeing large-scale and complex projects is vital.
- Advanced knowledge of project management principles.
- Experience with Agile/Adaptive project methodologies is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, TEAMS, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with HRIS, CRM, and ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience with Eddifects/Encounter is advantageous.
