Essential functions (job duties): Research Technician – Survey Lab Support Staff February – August 2024 This position offers flexible hours, meaningful in-person work, and competitive starting wages. Many of our full-time researchers started off as Telephone Interviewers and Support Staff. Unique duties: Qualifications: Candidate Profile: Must work in-person and attend all in-person training sessions. A Bachelor’s degree (including political science, social work, sociology, education, psychology, public health, survey methodology, and urban studies), especially coursework in survey research, is an advantage. One year of experience interviewing residential households by telephone. Demonstrated experience with supervision or management, preferably in a CATI lab environment. Strong diplomatic skills and high professional standards must be demonstrated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; answer questions and concerns effectively. Good computer skills; able to use a Windows-based system. Ability to follow all standard operating and project-related procedures and pay attention to detail. Must be able to focus on relevant tasks and work shift hours as required. Solid work ethic and reliability. In addition to meeting specific job requirements, all employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States (I-9 documentation) and undergo a background check.
