Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
This position core responsibilities are to package animal diets produced. This includes the filling and closing of all product bags, obtaining QA samples, setting date-code printer and palletizing the finished product for storage and/or shipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate all packaging equipment and perform any operational adjustments as needed
- Perform all set up and preparation work using the production schedule and Quality-related documents
- Accurately and thoroughly complete all necessary forms and documents needed for each packaging run
- Complete and document in-process checks and verifications in compliance with established Quality System
- Maintain a clean and organized work area according to the housekeeping procedures and checklists
- Perform tasks safely, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Job Procedures
- Overtime as needed including alternate shifts and/or weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability and willingness to train and operate a forklift (certification offered on-site)
- English communication - written, reading and oral
- Developed and accurate math proficiency - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to transpose written and printed information accurately and legibly to quality record documents
- Effectively work with peers, leadership and stakeholders in a productive collaborative environment
- Ability to understand and comply with confidentiality and privacy rules and protect company property and confidential information
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Preference given to relevant work experience
- Ability to push, pull, lift 50 punds from floor to shoulder length
- Stand/walk for extended period
- Must be able to ascend/descent vertical ladders and be mobile within all ares of the site
*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
