Medical Imaging Specialists provides compassionate, confidential, and quality ultrasound medical care, as well as excellent customer service. Medical Imaging Specialists are advocates in implementing our mission of "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all." They may perform other related duties as assigned. Schedule: 32 hours per week, 4 shifts M-F hours between 8am-4:30pm, may include some Saturday shifts. This position will impact us with the following contributions: Perform ultrasound medical services in accordance with Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) Medical Standards and Guidelines (MS&G) Perform transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound for gestational age dating, abortion follow-up, and Intrauterine Contraceptives (IUC) localization Maintain clear and accurate medical records, utilizing the electronic health record system Assist in the maintenance of facility for cleanliness, appropriate instruments, and optimum supply levels Assist maintaining ultrasound equipment for proper functioning in accordance with the policies and standards of PPNCS and regulatory agencies Participate in the quality assurance/risk management process for medical protocols, regulatory agency compliance, HR policies, and workplace safety policies Provide appropriate and accurate information to patients related to the ultrasound procedure Maintain patient and health center confidentiality Adhere to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and patient privacy regulations Follow all state laws regarding mandatory reporting Comply with state laws governing abortion services. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent education 1 year or more of medical imaging experience. Desired Qualifications: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), or post-secondary education in an Ultrasound Technologist program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Reproductive health experience Experience with NextGen or other Electronic Health Record system Experience working with high risk or minority populations Bilingual language skills (Spanish, Hmong, and Somali preferred).
