Shift: Days, 6:45 AM or 7:45 AM (dependent on location)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Travel Echo Tech for an exciting 26-week assignment in St. Paul, MN. This role involves working 8-hour day shifts, with a floating requirement to one outreach location per week on average. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of experience in cardiac echocardiography within a large hospital setting.

As a Travel Echo Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality cardiac imaging services, working with critically ill and injured patients, and handling medical emergencies. This position requires a strong understanding of electrocardiography, sterile techniques, and the use of life-saving equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed echocardiographic studies as per physician orders.
  • Utilize electrocardiography skills to manage arrhythmias and conduction disturbances.
  • Maintain and follow sterile techniques throughout procedures.
  • Operate defibrillators and crash carts effectively in emergency situations.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other life-saving procedures when necessary.
  • Provide care for critically ill or injured patients with professionalism and empathy.
  • Manage medical emergencies and ensure prompt response to equipment issues.
  • Complete basic clerical tasks as needed to support departmental operations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac echocardiography within a large hospital setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mathematical principles, including algebra.
  • Proficient in handling medical emergencies and operating essential medical equipment.
  • RDCS and ARDMS certifications required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with critically ill or injured patients.
