About Success Academy Charter Schools
Success Academy Charter Schools is a leading network of K-12 public charter schools in New York City, redefining what's possible in public education.
Counselor Responsibilities
- Manage the college application process for seniors
- Develop college lists with scholars based on their academics and family's financial background
- Write strong letters of recommendation and guide scholars through the financial aid process
- Build relationships with college admissions officers
- Coach scholars through the admissions and financial aid processes
- Lead scholar and parent workshops to share knowledge on college admissions
Requirements
- Passion for expanding college access for low-income and underrepresented scholars
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Outstanding academic results in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Deep understanding of college admissions and financial aid processes
- Preference for experience as a first-generation or underrepresented college student
Location
This role is based out of the HSLA-Manhattan campus, with potential opportunities at other campus locations in the future.
Compensation
Starting salary: $58,500.00
Success Academy Charter Schools does not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship.
