For more than 80 years, Natus has been committed to serving the varying needs of clinicians, delivering the highest-quality solutions to raise the standard of care for patients everywhere. Job Description

The Sr Director IT, Sensory Division is responsible for ensuring that Sensory receives correct, appropriate and sufficient IT services from Neuro during the TSA period, while simultaneously working to establish Sensory's independent IT strategy, staffing, software and infrastructure (to the extent necessary). The role is 100% remote from anywhere in North America.

Natus Medical Incorporated ("Natus") is comprised of two divisions - the Neuro Division ("Neuro") and the Sensory Division ("Sensory"), each of which is focused on a separate product array. Until 2024, each division operated under the Natus umbrella, although they are now being separated into independent companies. Neuro will keep all the IT systems, infrastructure and employees and, for a period following the separation, it will continue to provide IT services to the Sensory Division under a Transition Services Agreement ("TSA"). Over time, however, Sensory will establish and operate its own IT infrastructure, strategy, and functions. To do so, Sensory must build an IT department and infrastructure from scratch. The Sr Director IT will play a pivotal role in that work.

The Sr Director IT needs to be well versed in industry trends and best practices as well as the latest technologies. He/she will work closely with executive management to plan, establish and support the company's IT software, hardware, and security needs, while being responsible for budgeting and implementation. This position is responsible for hiring and managing employees and third-party contractors. It also develops and enforces IT policies and procedures and manages and provides guidance for all matters related to IT.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Works with Nero to obtain appropriate services under the TSA, assists with any changes or upgrades that Neuro plans, and budgets for the services Neuro provides under the TSA.
  • Evaluates and plans for Sensory's ongoing IT staffing, systems and infrastructure while exiting the TSA period and develops a plan to obtain and implement a stand-alone IT strategy.
  • Creates a technology roadmap and long-range plans designed to maintain the cost effectiveness and competitiveness of Sensory's IT systems and infrastructure.
  • It is expected that the ongoing work will entail:
    • Ensuring that IT systems and infrastructure support and facilitate Sensory's business in every respect.
    • Managing the ongoing design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems and areas.
    • Ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Providing appropriate staffing and expertise to support the IT infrastructure.
    • Leading and managing all internal IT staff and consultants/contractors.
    • Selecting and implementing suitable technologies to streamline all internal operations and optimizing their benefits.
    • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and overseeing enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and associated plans.
    • Ensuring that systems compliance, policies, and procedures are documented and regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate.
    • Coordinating with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and other internal departments with respect to audits related to compliance and regulatory matters.
    • Maintaining current technical knowledge and state-of-the-art practices.
    • Ensuring that Sensory's IT systems operation adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Expertise in promptly and actively detecting, assessing, and resolving security vulnerabilities, including emerging threats.
    • Leading and managing a high-quality user support group/function and training.
    • Selecting, implementing, and supporting Enterprise applications (c, CRM, PLM).
    • Working closely and collaboratively with Accounting, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and Risk Management.
    • Data analysis and budgeting, and ability to quickly grasp new business operations.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent level of education and experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • 5 years of medical device or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and Salesforce implementation.
  • Working experience with acquisitions, separations, dispositions, or Company mergers.
  • At least 10 years of experience and successful track record of IT leadership, execution, and delivery.
  • Proven focus on internal customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits: Along with a competitive salary and bonus structure, we offer a comprehensive benefit package: Healthcare Benefits that kick in Day 1, 401k Company contributions, 7 paid holidays 2 floaters, 4 weeks accrued PTO, and up to $5,000 tuition reimbursement annually. 100% remote from anywhere in North America.
