We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer for a 6-month contract, with the potential for a transition into a full-time position. THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE. The contract offers a competitive compensation range of $55,000 to $65,000 for the 6-month period. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of our application, using Django for the backend and React with TypeScript and Vite for the frontend. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise with these technologies and will collaborate closely with our team to deliver a high-quality product that meets business objectives. We also want to let you know we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable web application using Django (backend) and React with TypeScript and Vite (frontend).
  • Develop REST APIs using the Django framework.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Implement best practices for application architecture, testing, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues within the application.
  • Ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on Django (backend) and React with TypeScript (frontend).
  • Strong proficiency in building applications using Django and working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, and Vite for creating dynamic and responsive front-end interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, RESTful API design, and web security.
  • Familiarity with frontend state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
  • Proficiency in software development using languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficient in unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Lifting & Physical Requirements: The role may require sitting or standing for extended periods. Tasks may involve reaching above shoulder height, bending, or lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Proper lifting techniques are required.
  • Work Environment: General office environment with a moderate noise level.
