Mental Health Counselor Masters - Providence St. Peter Hospital

Supporting the Crisis Service Center within the Emergency Department

SCHEDULE: 0.9 FTE, averaging 36 hours per week. Three, 12-hour NIGHT shifts. 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM PST. Days may vary based on department needs, weekend rotation included.

The Mental Health Counselor Mastersis a professional who provides crisis management; intervention; an emergent clinical evaluation; information; follow-up referrals; and discharge planning to patients and families who present in the Emergency Center with a wide variety of psychiatric, chemical addiction, and psych-social problems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or Psychosocial/Mental Health Field.
  • 1 year Clinical crisis evaluation and intervention in an acute psychiatric setting with an emphasis on quick assessment skills.
