Who We Want

My Possibilities is creating a new position with 2 primary areas of focus: 1) Leadership and management of MP's new Residential Services program and 2) Instructor in MP's Lifelong Learning Program as needed.

The Residential Coordinator will work 40 hours per week. The normal work schedule will be 9:00am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday, but may be flexed to accommodate programmatic needs and responsibilities.

The position supports high-level work and thought at My Possibilities. The Residential Coordinator is the day-to-day face of MP's new Residential Services Program. The Coordinator attends MP Residential Board meetings on a regular basis. Maintaining confidentiality in all matters is expected. The Coordinator interacts with the entire organization on a daily basis and will be a key contributor to building a welcoming and inclusive environment for Hipsters and their family members.

Essential Functions

The Residential Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of residential homes for individuals with special needs. The Coordinator will also work in MP classrooms to fill in for instructors in our Lifelong Learning and Employment Innovation School as needed. This includes ensuring high-quality care, staffing, resident placement, and will work closely with staff, residents, families, and external agencies to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. He will lead efforts to hire and train staff, oversee resident care, and develop individualized residential plans, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Design and Management
  • Design and implement residential programs tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with special needs.
  • Develop and review care plans, ensuring that services provided align with each resident's goals, needs, and preferences.
  • Ensure all homes comply with My Possibilities' state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
2. Staff Hiring, Training, and Supervision
  • Lead the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding residential care staff.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to ensure they understand best practices in supporting individuals with special needs.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and evaluation of staff, conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive working environment.
3. Resident Selection and Placement
  • Coordinate the selection and placement of residents into appropriate homes, ensuring compatibility with existing residents and alignment with available resources. Kyles Cabin to be utilized to determine compatibly and readiness of future residents.
  • Collaborate with MP staff, families, social workers, and other professionals to assess the needs of potential residents.
  • Develop individualized transition and placement plans, including pre-placement assessments, developmental plans to improve readiness, and post-placement follow-ups.
4. Daily Operations and Oversight
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all residential homes under management.
  • Monitor the well-being and progress of residents, ensuring the highest quality of care is maintained.
  • Manage budgets, including payroll, supplies, and facility maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies and crises as needed, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
5. Communication and Collaboration
  • Serve as the main point of contact for residents, families, and external agencies, fostering open and transparent communication.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers, therapists, and other community resources to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Organize regular meetings with staff, residents, and families to address concerns, celebrate achievements, and improve services.
  • Report on progress to the Residential Board on a regular basis.
6. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including inspections, licensing, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, staff performance, and financial records.
  • Submit regular reports to management and external stakeholders as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • College Degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience working with individuals with special needs
  • Technologically proficient with Microsoft Outlook email and scheduling
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and valid car insurance required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to present themselves professionally to key volunteers, staff, and visitors on a daily basis
  • Commitment to task, follow-through, and delivering on deadline a must


Working Conditions

Position will onsite at My Possibilities and equally may be in the community working with Hipsters and stakeholders associated with MP Residential units. No excessive heavy-lifting or standing is required.
