Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize existing database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Build and deploy scalable, real-time databases for new products and enhance existing ones.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly reports and perform ad-hoc data analysis as per user and client requirements.
- Establish and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards.
- Regularly perform tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Recommend new database technologies and manage the implementation of these technologies.
- Develop processes for quality improvement and change management within the database environment.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand business needs and deliver effective database solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in database design, development, and management.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Pervasive SQL, MySQL, or similar platforms; expertise in Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, or similar tools.
- Certifications: Certifications in database management or specific technologies like Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL are beneficial.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Key Competencies: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, strong analytical skills, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
