Job Summary: The Commercial Property and Casualty Producer will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships. This role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their insurance needs, and providing them with tailored commercial property and casualty insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and other lead generation methods.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop customized insurance programs for clients.
- Prepare and present insurance proposals to prospective clients, explaining coverage options, policy terms, and pricing.
- Negotiate with underwriters to obtain the best coverage and pricing for clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and assistance with policy renewals, claims, and other insurance-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide clients with the most current and relevant information.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers and customer service representatives, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate new business leads.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid insurance producer license (Property and Casualty) or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the commercial insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products and markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
