The MRI Technologist performs quality images per physician's orders while providing excellent care to patients.
This is a part-time (0.2) position working Saturday and Sunday every other weekend from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This role will be based out of our Stillwater location.
A $3,500 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:- Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians' use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
- Inform and prepare patients for procedures
- Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
- Prepare, clean, and stock work area with supplies
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair
- Maintain the necessary precautions for exposure to the static magnetic field and non-ionizing radiation/radiofrequencies
- Communicate implant safety concerns and expectations to care teams and patients to ensure patient is able to tolerate MRI exam comfortably
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an ARRT approved program
- ARRT Certified in Magnetic Resonance or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an MRI department required
Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
- Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
- Complete job required training.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
