Job Description:
  • SURG TECH 8hr Days Weekend, call and holidays required 7a-7:30p 26 weeks
  • PREFERRED May be asked to precept new staff Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible
  • Knowledge in the use of cleaning/sterilization/disinfection of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting.
  • BLS required.
  • The qualified candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN and assist in Nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient by performing routine & delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and department.
  • The candidate will perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise & efficient reactions to all situations & assist with departmental work as assigned.
  • Surgical techs have a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical room and ensuring that surgical equipment is functioning properly & safely as well as assisting surgeons during surgical procedures
