Overview

The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery is looking for an Experienced LPN to join our team

Assists physician(s) with patient care in order to maximize physician productivity. Maintains cleanliness and organization of clinic and exam rooms. Assists with stocking room supplies and maintaining clinic logs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
  1. Collaborates with surgeons and physician assistants to ensure patient understands surgical procedures and policies and obtains all necessary authorizations and consents.
  2. Documents patient progress by taking pre- and post-procedure photographs or 3D-images, and uploads documentation into EMR/EHR and to patient portal.
  3. Proactively follows up with patients post-operatively.
  4. Performs suture and drain removal for post-operative patients as instructed.
  5. Triages patient calls, documents patient concerns and questions, facilitates appointments, and ensures questions/concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  6. Coordinates scheduling of both cosmetic and insurance minor office procedures, and assists surgeons during procedures, if necessary.
  7. Inventory management- our nursing staff tracks and manages surgical implants, garments, injectables, and clinic supplies. Works with the team to ensure that all treatment rooms are stocked appropriately
  8. Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
  9. Responds positively to constructive criticism and direction from supervisors.
  10. Able to understand physician's instructions and know when to seek additional information or advice.
  11. Demonstrates professional appearance and manner at all times.
  12. Displays a friendly cheerful, tactful and polite demeanor, and compassionate caring in dealing with others.
  13. Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
  14. Must be detail oriented.
  15. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  16. Demonstrated leadership experience. Must be able to demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in response to organizational change.
  17. Must possess excellent leadership, organizational, and computer skills.
  18. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.
  19. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
  20. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  21. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
  1. LPN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Oregon State LPN License
  3. Maintains CPR Certification
  4. 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity preferred.
  5. Basic computer knowledge.

Able to operate standard office equipment
