Job DescriptionJob Description

About Us:

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated senior-level Full Stack Programmer to join our rapidly growing team. Our mission is to bend the healthcare cost curve by using analytic applications and data science to identify cases of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). Globally, 8 trillion dollars are spent on healthcare annually. FWA accounts for up to 10% of every dollar spent in healthcare systems, equating to almost 800 billion dollars lost annually. FWA is a growing problem—as providers find ways to evade traditional forms of rule-based fraud detection, our clients need to enhance their firepower with advanced analytic systems. Our development team and data science team build applications using JavaScript and J2EE that leverage algorithms built using Python, R, and SQL to identify these bad actors.

You will have broad opportunities to succeed and grow, both technically and non-technically. Our development team is the keystone of our corporate structure, directly translating business problems into technical solutions for our global clients. This makes communication skills as important as development skills.

As a start-up, we want you to be able to grow with us. You’ll be able to learn from a management team with a combined 60+ years of technical and medical expertise and a history of successful exits. Our founder has developed 70+ systems in his career, 2 of which are still number 1 in the world today.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in frontend JavaScript/Angular technologies and backend Java J2EE technologies, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Spring MVC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Frontend Development:

  • Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using Angular or other JavaScript frameworks.

  • Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive, user-friendly interfaces.

  • Optimize frontend performance to enhance application speed and scalability.

  • Backend Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java J2EE technologies, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.

  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end applications.

  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

  • Ensure security and data protection in backend processes.

  • Work with Spring Boot to create stand-alone, production-grade Spring-based applications with minimal configuration.

  • Utilize Hibernate for object-relational mapping (ORM) and data persistence.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack to ensure smooth application performance.

  • Testing & Deployment:

  • Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.

  • Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

  • Monitor application performance and suggest improvements as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and related frontend technologies.

  • Solid experience with Java J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and related backend technologies.

  • Proficiency in working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Jenkins, or Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with other frontend frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance bonuses.

  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
