The Hospice Aide provides personal care, assistance with performing activities of daily living and prescribed therapeutic exercises, and basic housekeeping services essential to the comfort and cleanliness of receiving home care or hospice services. These services are specified by a written plan of care that is developed and supervised by a Registered Nurse.

Required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of a certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training required.
- upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License (Vendor Managed)
- upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
- 1 year Previous home health/hospice experience required as a nurse's aide, hospice aide, orderly, or related experience in an acute, rehabilitative, or long term care facility, or hospice organization or private home care aide.

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
