POSITION 25S75 TITLE: Warehouse Clerk/Truck Driver (long-term, temporary)

LOCATIONS: Countywide

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Distributing supplies and mail/payroll checks to all Marshall County Schools as assigned
2. Distributing food supplies to all school lunch programs as assigned
3. Receiving supplies as assigned
4. Maintaining an accurate inventory of all warehouse supplies
5. Arranging for equipment repair and maintenance
6. Cleaning /storing goods in warehouse/storage area
7. Requisitioning in-house supplies and equipment
8. Moving goods to proper stacking area (normal control as well as first-in/first-out)
9. Inspecting merchandise to insure entire order is accounted for
10. Obtaining goods from stockroom/warehouse
11. Assisting carrier unload
12. Signing carrier receipt
13. Report to the Maintenance Foreman any defect or safety problem observed with the truck
14. Keep his/her working area clean, safe, and sanitary for all to work in
15. Follow all safety procedures for the job being performed
16. Wear and use safety equipment at all times
17. Performing all other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must show evidence of possessing a high school diploma or GED
2. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license
3. Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving bulky and heavy supply items of at least 50 lbs.
4. Be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
5. Possess writing skills to be able to complete assigned written reports
6. Have ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with others
7. Exhibit a high moral character, a neat/clean physical appearance, and a cooperative, friendly personality
8. Pass state developed tests to indicate minimum competencies in each area of job classification as titled and hold/have held such title of employment with a county board of education.

EMPLOYMENT TERM: Anticipated start date of March 31, 2025.

SALARY: Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at https://boe.mars.k12.wv.us/mcs-salary/. Pay grade D-2.
