Posting Summary
This position functions as an instructor in one of the Rutgers Community Arts' (RCA) summer camps in Filmmaking, Screenwriting, 2D & 3D Animation, Graphic Design, Painting, Drawing, Jazz or Wind Band. Instructors may teach individual classes, masterclasses, or workshops to pre-college students, taking on other duties as assigned. A Rutgers Community Arts Summer Camp Instructor will work with RCA and Mason Gross School of the Arts (MGSA) to create a syllabus and lesson plans for the course and serve as its instructor for the entirety of the camp.

Mason Gross School of the Arts, a vibrant community of artists and scholars with academic programs in music, theater, dance, filmmaking, and art & design, is committed to pursuing excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. Minimum Education and Experience

* A bachelor's degree and professional experience (performance and/or instruction) is preferred. Instructors who lack a bachelor's degree, but who possess considerable professional experience and a demonstrated record of professional success/achievement and/or are currently enrolled in a degree program pertinent to the camp may be hired for this position. * Specific knowledge and skill in the artform they are teaching is required, as is familiarity with any necessary materials, equipment and/or software as pertains to the specific course(s). * Problem solving and independent judgement in teaching and classroom management is required.
