Job Title: HVAC Technician Job Description The HVAC Technician will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across various systems. You will demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled in others to complete daily and weekly work assignments successfully. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards. You will also handle facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency. Maintenance tasks include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. You will record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation, comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean and safe workplace. Periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory and monitoring the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors are also part of the role. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Mountain View, California. Work Environment Candidates will work on site at various campuses in the Bay Area, including Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and San Bruno. Primary work will be at one site with occasional travel to other sites using a personal vehicle initially, and a company vehicle once direct. Travel between campuses is within a 5-mile radius. Reporting will be to the main manager, with collaboration with leads at each site. Candidates must have their own set of tools while on contract.
