As a part of the Production Team, the Production Worker is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in order to produce Coca-Cola products. This position is also responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate and monitor equipment in an efficient manner and replenish materials as needed.Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area.Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.Visually inspect production run and document results.Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.Complete required paperwork as directed.Analyze production line to identify areas for continuous improvement.Responsible for the prevention of widespread breakdown in production.Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.Watch for potential problems on the production line.Maintain awareness of the schedule and materials needed for the efficient operation of equipment.Maintain cleanliness of production area and keep all work areas clean through good housekeeping to include but not limited to: sweeping and mopping when necessary, recycling/destroying defective finished goods, proper shut off procedures for equipment at end of day.Operate forklifts in a safe manner.Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipmentJOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to operate manufacturing equipment. Prior warehouse/production/equipment service experience preferred. Forklift certification is a plus.TRAINING REQUIREMENTSContinuing education to maintain certification and a current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.New Hire OrientationCompany’s Inter-Active Safety TrainingAllergen Awareness TrainingDiversity and Harassment TrainingGMP, ISO, and Food Safety/FMSA TrainingPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.Intermittent physical activity including bending, twisting, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.Exposure to high noise levels and fast-moving equipment.Working hours vary daily and include overtime and occasional weekends.Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal or working on small components.Must be able to stand for long periods of time while working on equipment.PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)Hearing protection dependent on specified areas.Hard hat Hazardous Material Suit for Battery AcidFace shield and gloves mandatory while filling CO2.Hair nets if working on open container end of the lines.High visibility clothing, steel/ceramic toed shoes with non-slip soles.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and/or warehousing equipment in operation.Some areas are slippery due to the production process.Warehouse area has heavy forklift travel.This job description lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive.
