Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break)
Hourly rate: $19/hr
Candidates with assembly experience and the ability to read and interpret drawings are preferred.
Worker must have safety boots are required
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
- ssembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping.
- Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS-FORMAL EDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or GED.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Required:
- Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone. 5-10 years experience
