The Assembly role performs assembly work to manufacture assemblies and products in a cost-effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The Assembler will validate material prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience

  • Ability to effectively communicate

  • Contributes to identifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures.

  • Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures

  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.

  • Ability to perform more complex assembly skills.

  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

  • Models positive and professional work ethics.

  • Ability to interpret basic visual diagrams

  • Intermediate PC knowledge

  • Ability to use basic hand tools

  • Ability to interpret basic visual diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be effectively cross-trained on multiple operations.

  • Ability to use advanced tooling

  • Ability to train other employees in established processes

  • Understands principles of basic machine operations

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
