We seek an experienced and motivated Emergency Services Nurse Manager to lead our client's emergency nursing team and advance their commitment to excellence in emergency care.

Position Overview:

The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department (ED), focusing on the management of nursing staff, patient care quality, and departmental efficiency. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in emergency nursing, proven management skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes in a high-stress environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, ensuring high standards of care and effective team performance.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ED, including patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Staff Development: Mentor, train, and support nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Patient Care: Coordinate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction and address any issues or challenges in the department.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification: Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in emergency nursing, with at least two years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Skills: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams, improving clinical processes, and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Competencies: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
