You will have the opportunity to collaborate with business, school districts, state partners, and other agencies to assist Vadis in bettering our community and helping others achieve their employment goals. Each day varies as you put your advocacy skills to use as an Employment Consultant. Throughout your week, you will positively impact the lives of our clients with your: Excellent customer service and communications with clients, families, employers, educators, funders, and the community Facilitation of referral meetings and intake of clients, including explanation of services and skill/vocational assessment Facilitation of person-centered planning to assist clients in meeting their overall employment goals. Assistance of clients in building work readiness, social, and self-advocacy skills through work experiences, individual coaching, and community activities. Development of relationships with the business community to secure jobs for people with disabilities. Facilitation of client job starts and providing of on-site training and guidance to both the client and their supervisors/coworkers. Pay and Benefits This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $25 per hour. This is not a remote position. Full salary range for this position is $25 - $28.84 per hour. However, this range allows for professional growth and development over time. Bonuses for successful client job matches. Medical/Vision, dental, and life insurance coverage at no premium cost to employees. Dependent coverage available at employee cost. Opportunities for advancement. 403(b) retirement plan, with up to a 6% company match dependent on contributions. (Match available after one year of employment). Business mileage reimbursement is currently .60/mile. Vacation accrual begins at 4.66 hours per month. Sick Leave accrual at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Employee Assistance Program available. Ten Paid Holidays for 2024. Hours of work typically run Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. However, it is important that our employees understand the importance of supporting our clients during the hours that they work. This requires flexibility for evening and/or weekend assignments as needed, based on client caseload. Requirements Ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals from a variety of backgrounds. High school diploma or equivalent. Personal use of a vehicle, with proper insurance coverage due to variances in client work hours and worksites. Driver's license with favorable driving record.
